Christopher A. Richey
Chris began his financial career as a financial analyst with International Business Machines in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Somers, New York. He was a financial advisor with Raymond James before founding Nautilus Wealth Management, LLC, in 2008.
Chris applies an intergenerational and holistic vision to assisting families with the creation, preservation, and distribution of wealth. He strives to ensure that his clients have a comprehensive plan for financial strength in the areas of wealth accumulation, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management.
He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network and his North Carolina Life and Health Insurance license. He earned a BS in business administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Chris, his wife Suzanne, and two children Camden and Samantha, live in New Bern, North Carolina. They enjoy an active lifestyle of boating, surfing, and riding horses as a family. Chris faithfully serves First Presbyterian Church as a past Session Elder, committee member, and the Foundation Board. He has also held leadership positions with Neuse River Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association, New Bern Rotary Club, and Coastal Carolina Classrooms. Currently, Chris is serving on the Board of Trustees at Epiphany School of Global Studies in New Bern.
Kim joined Nautilus in January 2016 as office manager. She brings more than 20 years of professional experience from various business environments. She is an integral member of the practice and will be available to assist clients with account-related functions as well as other office practices.
She holds a BS degree in interior design with minors in marketing, art, and music from Meredith College. For 12 years, Kim was lead interior designer/project manager for Hatteras Yachts manufactured here in New Bern, North Carolina. She designed yachts for domestic and international dealers and private owners. She photographed and staged exhibits at premier boat shows on the East Coast. Kim also worked for 10 years as administrative assistant and in collections for a local law office.
Kim is local to New Bern and is married and has two children—one a high school junior and the other a college student. While raising her two children, she was in office administration and collections for 10 years with a local business. She loves cooking, fitness activities, including running, yoga, anything water-related, and any time spent on a boat enjoying the coastal areas of North Carolina.
